"Being an introvert doesn't mean you're shy. It means you enjoy being alone. Not just enjoy it-you need it. If you are a true introvert, other people are basically energy vampires. You don't hate them; you just have to be strategic about when you expose yourself to them-like the sun. They give you life, sure, but they can also burn you out....." A. Schumer
I agree with this. I get completely worn out by people all the time and I like to blame the seasons, but I don't know if I really can. Anybody else in winter just hibernate more in the house and don't feel bad if you didn't step outside or see another individual the entire weekend? I was that kid that would invite a friend on a family vacation but tell them ahead of time, everyday I will disappear, nothing personal I just will need time away from you and rest of the family. I probably did this with five friends and only one got offended. I need alot of alone time to not go crazy. My grandpa would always go out and drive to the mailbox or drive to get gas (not like on errands and fill up with out, he would into town to just get gas and go home), because he couldn't just sit in these four walls. I would always think, I really could.
So this quote was from Amy Schumer's book The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, and it may be the best book written by a celebrity I have read. I personally like other ladies better (Anna Kendrick and Mindy K, but their books bored the shit out of me). I not Amy's biggest fan, but her book is entertaining and I have even LOL'd.
