Neat hikes in and around St. Louis

This list of good hikes is continually added to.  I have some friends that are hard-core backpack hikers, where I will count a walk at the park sometimes as a HIKE if there is a dirt trail and I may not always be a short distance from a bathroom.  If a park is big enough to tramps about, I may include on my list. My list is not probably the most thorough because of that loose definition of hike but regardless, I have some recommendation near and around me that I have done within this year.
